Top Ten Tuesday: 10 books I want to read before Christmas

Dear Rebellious Readers,
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog post hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl  and this week’s topic is 10 Books I Want to Read Before Christmas

1. The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young– I have been meaning to read this since release day. Sky in the Deep is one of my favorite books of the year and I love that one of the secondary characters from Sky in the Deep is going to be the main character in this one.

2. Rage by Cora Carmack– I loved Roar so much. The magic, the romance, the characters, the story all drew me in. The sequel looks just as great.

3. Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto- This book has some of my favorite things, sibling relationships, phoenix, and a world that sounds unique and beautiful.

4. Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim- I love books with contests. Plus anything pitched as Project Runway meets Mulan sounds right up my ally.

5. Brazen and the Beast by Sarah Maclean- I have been craving regency lately and this book has been on my TBR for months plus I love Beauty and the Beast and this sounds like a great retelling.

6. The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert- I got this in Owlcrate last year and it has been on my TBR ever since but it keeps getting bumped for sequels, final books, or buddy reads.

7. Tithe by Chani Lynn Feener- I really love books with faeries and have heard this book praised by my friend Mary who shares my love of all things fae. I also hear there is a love triangle and it has been a while since I read one. I love them which I know is a very unpopular opinion.

8. House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig- I love retellings. I love books set by oceans/on islands/on boats, ect… and this book fits both of those things. I can’t wait to get to it. Plus I just read the fairy tale it is based on and can’t wait to compare it.

9. Thunderhead by Neil Shusterman- I finished Scythe a few days ago and I read it in about 2 days. I couldn’t put it down. I ordered Thunderhead and as so as it comes I am picking it up asap.

10. The Grace Year by Kim Liggett- I have heard this book praised so highly from reviewers I trust and am looking forward to reading it. I have been wanting to read more dystopian after Scythe so this is perfect.

What books do you plan to read this month?

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and got some great black Friday deals if you shopped. Sorry I have been more silent here. I am going to try to post 3 times a week in the New Year.

Yours in Rebellion, Nicole

  1. I hope you get to read them all! The only one I’ve read is The Grace Year, which I didn’t love, but I know I’m in the minority. 🙂

    Here’s my holiday TTT

  2. I love so many of these! The Hazel Wood was such a fun read and is, somehow, one of my all time favourites. I know a lot of mixed reviews are out there on that one but I adored it and just finished my eARC of the sequel The Night Country! Ah! I hope you love these books when you get to them. Happy reading!
