He’s a player on and off the field…
Chad Gamble, all-star pitcher for the Nationals, is one of the best players on—and off—the field. And right now, the notorious bad boy wants Bridget Rodgers. But with her lush curves and snappy comebacks, the feisty redhead is the kind of woman a man wants to settle down with…and that’s the last thing Chad needs.
When the paparazzi catch them in a compromising position, Chad’s manager issues an ultimatum: clean up his act or kiss his multi-million dollar contract goodbye. To save his career, his meddling publicist says he’ll have to convince everyone Bridget isn’t just his flavor of the week, but his girlfriend.
Being blackmailed into a fake relationship with Chad Gamble isn’t easy, especially when the sizzling physical attraction between them is undeniable. With a month to go on their arranged pretense, it’s going to take every ounce of willpower they have not to fall into bed together…or in love.
Chad is a star pitcher for the Nationals baseball team. But his wild ways have gotten him into trouble. Also the only women he has been attached to in months ditched him after he took her home and he left the room to get something. His bosses say work with this PR women Miss Gore and clean up your act or no way we are letting you resign your contract. He agrees. But when he kisses Bridget the girl who ditched him and it ends up in the paper. Miss Gore spends a web and blackmails Bridget into dating Chad for a month to save his image but will it lead to more?
I loved the heroine Bridget. She is someone you just want to be friends with. She is very unique and I love her mismatched outfits. She was a very real character with her low-self esteem and her having curves. I really liked Chad. He was cocky and sweet when he wants to be. Mostly with Bridget. She opens something inside of him he has never had with a women. But my heart still belongs to his brother Chandler.
Bridget is scared to get close to Chad because he is way out of her league. She knows falling in love with a player is never a good idea and let alone in a pretend relationship. But she really can’t help herself. Sparks fly between Chad and Bridget from their first scene together to their last. This book is just as hot as Tempting the Bodyguard. Which is 3 or 5 times hotter then I usually read but it didn’t deter my enjoyment. I wasn’t blow away with this book like I was with Tempting the Bodyguard but I still couldn’t put it down. This was a great fun sexy read.
